Earplugs are basically inserted into the auditory canal and are especially well-suited to moist and warm environments. They also have good attenuation levels due to filtration of the noise levels, even at low frequencies.
E-SHOP
This is how to insert disposable earplugs correctly:
1. Roll the plug up as small as possible, ensuring it is crease-free. Make sure your hands are clean.
2. Reach over your head with your free hand and pull the ear upwards and backwards. Insert the plug deeply into the auditory canal.
3.& 4. Hold the plug firmly for approx. 30–40 seconds until it has fully expanded within the auditory canal. The earplug is correctly fitted in the ear if nothing is visible when viewed from the front.
This is the correct way to remove and dispose of earplugs:
When removing the earplug, pull it slowly out of the auditory canal with a slight twisting action. After use, disposable earplugs should be disposed of in the correct manner.
Reusable earplugs can be reused without losing their original shape thanks to the washable surface. When you leave a noisy area, the earplugs can be put away in a handy storage box
This is how to wear earplugs correctly:
1. Use one hand to grip the earplug by the stem. With the other hand pull the ear upwards and backwards whilst inserting the earplug into the auditory canal. Moving the ear up and down during insertion increases the protective effect.
2. Even when correctly fitted, the plug remains visible from the outside.
In this short video, you can see how to wear ear defenders correctly.
Banded earplugs are easy to use, comfortable to wear and can be put on and taken off quickly. The earplug does not sit in the auditory canal, instead it closes off the outer opening of the canal, which makes it pleasant to wear. It is suitable for working environments with high temperatures, since no heat build-up occurs. The earplugs can be replaced and the band can be reused

This is how to wear banded earplugs correctly: 1. Grip the band under the chin with both hands. 2. Pulling the ear upwards and downwards whilst inserting the earplug increases the attenuation performance. 3. To check the fit, in a noisy environment press both earplugs slightly inwards. This should not make any great difference to the noise. Please note: 4. Pull the dirty earplug off the band. 5. Insert the new earplugs on to the band with a slight twist.

Hearing protection with special functions enables communication and simultaneous protection in the event of high noise levels. The noise-level-dependent attenuation technology means that warnings and instructions can audibly be received. Harmful noise is damped to a level less than 82 dB in order to protect hearing Additional functions: • Volume control of level-dependent function • Balance control • Equalizer ear defenders

Ear defenders are particularly suitable for use in dirty environments and in environments where the noise level is continually changing. The shell envelopes the entire ear and the headband provides a stable and comfortable fit.
E-SHOP
This is how to wear ear defenders correctly: 1. For fold-away ear defenders fold the shells from inwards to outwards. 2. Place the shells over your ears. 3. Adjust the position of the band upwards and downwards. Please note: 4. To ensure the seal is tight, hair and the temples of glasses should not lie between the ear defender and the ear. 5. Die Ohren dürfen nicht mehr zu sehen sein.

In order to protect yourself against gases and vapours, you need special gas masks. These re-usable masks are used in the event of frequent use and for wearing for long periods of time. These are also available as full-face masks, which also have a face cover.
If the half-face and full-face masks are additionally required to provide protection against particles, then combination filters are the right choice. Here, particle and gas filters are integrated into a filter housing whereby the particle filter is always spatially arranged in front of the gas filter.

Safety harnesses consist of straps fastened around the body. These catch the person as they fall, transmit the resulting forces on to appropriate parts of the body and keep the body upright.
E-shop
Attachment devices come in two basic designs: with a fixed and a moveable guide. On the fixed guide, the attachment device that moves with the user automatically locks and catches the user with the safety harness if they fall. The fixed guide restricts lateral movement. The attachment device with a moveable guide moves up and down the guide as the wearer moves. If the wearer falls, it locks automatically.

Cables or straps with end connections are designated as connectors. Connecting elements connect the individual parts with a capture system. Fall dampers reduce impact forces acting on the person, the safety harness and the anchor device in the event of a fall.

Anchor devices are made of different parts with one or more attachment points. These create a fixed connection between the system and the building or structure.

Fall prevention safety harness sets include all the parts which are required for basic equipment. These allow your employees to work safely on lifting platforms or roofs, for example. Additionally, the tools which your employees working at height are using should be prevented from falling so that people at ground level are not injured by falling objects. Special tool fall protection is available for this.

Whether in industry, manufacturing trades or production, wearing special safety shoes is prescribed for almost all metalworking jobs by the applicable Berufsgenossenschaft (employers' liability insurance association). These are work shoes that must meet certain standards to protect the feet from injuries and danger when working.

For many people in management positions, a quick trip to the production hall or logistics area is a crucial component of day-to-day working life. A carefully assembled wardrobe including safety shoes should of course be a part of this. Our range includes a wide selection of business safety shoes which meet all the legal requirements, and also ensure a stylish appearance in every area.

A dazzlingly bright light with strong UV radiation is produced during electrical welding work. Without adequate protection, there is a risk of burns to the conjunctiva and irreversible injury. Furthermore, depending on the welding technique, harmful substances can be released which can also get inside the eyes.
For this reason, welder’s goggles must meet strict requirements for eye protection. They must repel glare while ensuring excellent vision, protecting against UV light, offering scratch resistance and employing a suitable material to prevent burn-in of welding sparks.

In many manufacturing trades, leather gloves are the first choice for protective gloves that provide a high level of comfort for the wearer. Being a robust material, leather is not only resilient, but also soft and supple. These work glove qualities enable precise work, even when it comes to assembling small parts where sensitivity is required. Furthermore, leather gloves are suited to working in both cold environments and very hot ones.

Anybody whose job involves handling chemicals must take special precautionary measures. Dangerous gases or vapours are ingested through the nose and mouth 60 per cent of the time. This means suitable respiratory protection is required. However, up to 30 per cent of chemicals enter the human organism through the skin or mucous membranes and can cause irreversible damage.

Electrician’s gloves are special protective gloves that are furnished with an insulation layer to provide reliable protection against electric voltage. These can also be combined with an overglove, depending on the work application. This is especially important, as the effects of electricity on the body can cause significant harm, depending on the electrical resistance.

Helmets come in three different shell shapes: straight (1), straight with rain gutter (2)and with pulled-down neck and rain gutter (3). The industrial safety helmets are made of thermoplastic or thermoset, each with their own different properties and fields of use in construction, industry, hot operations and electrical engineering. More detailed information on this can be found on the label inside the helmet, for example. Special versions in this category are climbing helmets and forestry helmets.

Welding poses hazards, which include very high temperatures, against which employees must protect themselves. A welder’s mask protects the entire head and the face against radiation, heat and sparks. An integrated window with welding filter allows the employee to see his/her workstation. The highly modern automatic welder’s masks also boast several shade levels, which facilitate different kinds of welding work. Caps or hoods made from flame-retardant cotton can be worn underneath the mask.

High temperatures and radiated heat arise during welding work. Special welder’s gloves are required to adequately protect the hands. They are considerably longer than other work gloves in order to offer the wrist and the lower arm protection as well.
